Experience the Timeless Sounds of "Tierra Infinita"
A fusion of Argentine folk and new jazz that bridges generations
"Tierra Infinita" celebrates Argentine folk music, as liberated through new jazz. Each of the seven tracks is rooted in a specific folk genre and generates a dynamic conversation between tradition and innovation. The album is a further development of Dario’s Acosta Teich’s personal folk-jazz vernacular, which he has been developing for over 20 years. A virtuoso guitarist born in the north of Argentina into a folk music family, Dario’s passion for jazz and his love for the sounds of his homeland continue to find fertile ground in his creative practice. Tierra Infinita, his eighth album and third with an ensemble, was recorded in NYC and Buenos Aires with a “dream team” of Argentine jazz masters as well as special guests Jaques Morelenbaum (cello, Brazil), Marta Gomez (vocals, Colombia) and Eleanor Dubinsky (vocals, USA). The album is a journey through time, connecting past, present, and future generations with the infinite possibilities of music
